The IAM Readers Guild is designed to allow readers to interact with others in their own community as well as the wider IAM global community, and to learn a “deeper empathy” through experiencing great writing that wrestles with big ideas in many cultural contexts. Each month, groups around the world will meet to discuss the book of the month, beginning with a list of questions that will be sent t …
This Reader's club is dedicated to reading books written by Canadian Authors. Books will be chosen in advance, so you will have plenty of time to read them. Books will be all genres (but mostly fiction). The only thing they will have in common is that the author must be Canadian. That doesn't mean we'll read only Margaret Atwood or Robertson Davies, but new Canadian Authors. Some will be from smaller publishers, some will be new writers. All books will be available at the book store or library.
Meetup details are available only to members.

“Truly fine poetry must be read aloud. A good poem does not allow itself to be read in a low voice or silently. If we can read it silently, it is not a valid poem: a poem demands pronunciation. Poetry always remembers that it was an oral art before it was a written art. It remembers that it was first song." Jorge Luis Borges This is a meetup group for people who like to read, and be read to. Everyone is welcome! Bring a passage or two that you like and recite it with the group, then we can ta …
