… The aims of this "book club" will be discussing alternative graphic literature in context: graphic novels such as the other-than-super-hero themed graphic novel and supplemental materials on the Internet such as articles or clips directly related to the themes or settings that will help us readers put each selection into context and aid in our understanding. I look forward to meeting you at the next meet-up over an awesome graphic novel and a cup of something good to drink. Angie
I obtained this book club idea from a meetup group I was a member of in Durham, North Carolina that I miss terribly. We read and discussed a book, but we always selected a restaurant that continued the theme (setting or main characters). We would also select books that were turned into movies and read the book first and then go see the movie. This book club welcomes men and women who are avid readers because it is a joy to hear a wide range of opinions regarding books.
There are no upcoming Meetups.
Love beading and reading? This is the MeetUp for you. Members will bring their beading supplies, and spend time together beading and talking about any books they've enjoyed reading lately. No assigned book to read. Just come prepared to do some beading and talk about a book you've enjoyed reading lately, fact or fiction, or even a great cookbook! Any level of beader or reader is welcome!
What makes our book club different from all of the others? Well, it's because our authors are in attendance to discuss their book and to answer questions. We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6pm. Our meeting place is Barnes & Noble at Pima and Shea, located in the Fiesta Shopping Center, 10500 N. 90th St., Scottsdale, Arizona.

The Fool, both innocent and wise, is the inspiration for this group. So shall we be as 'Fools', discovering the tarot together, with humble …
