This is a group for book readers who are interested in life improvement information. My purpose for creating this group is to get together with people who are strongly interested in self improvement, so we can learn tools and work on life improvement together. Perhaps you have read something in a self-help book or life-improvement book, and it opened up new understandings of life for you. Perhaps you want to learn more about topics such as how to improve self-confidence, relationships, motivat …

We will be exploring a variety of books from the classics like Jane Austin to more modern books. Mostly the classics though. We will meet once a month to discuss the books we have just finished. The goal of this book club is to not only read great books but to make a connection and develop lasting friendships.
Meetup details are available only to members.
We're a social club catering to a slightly nerdier crowd. The IAC is geared toward people in their 20s and 30s, but all adults are welcome. We plan on having an outing or party of some kind at least twice a month. Contrary to the group name, we will also do outdoor activities! Outdoor we might do a pub crawl or hang out at one of our many local bodies of water, and indoor may mean board game nights or a trip to a comedy club.

… This is not a business, and also not a solicitation for any religion or cult or even a therapy workshop; though we do welcome people who stretch, people who listen to the lyrics, grown-ups who like "Glee," bicycle commuters, thoughtful non-conformists, people who meditate, idealists, Daily Show watchers, Douglas Adams readers, people who know of Howard Zinn, and others... The primary activity is conversation, conversation that goes beyond small-talk. There may also be live music and/or fo …
I want to start a book club group for woman who love to read a wide range of books. Each month we will read a book selected by one of our members. The selection process will go as follows: Each member will have a chance to be the "Leader" of a monthly meeting, which means they will choose 3 books for the group to vote on and then lead the meeting for their chosen book. This way we all get a chance to read something we are interested in while still allowing the group to be involved. We we will be …

Focusing on smart and witty chick lit, we'll read a new book every month. Come to laugh, chat and make new friends over drinks and food! We also have two "side" groups, one reading Gone With the Wind and it's sequels, and one reading books focusing on women, but more in the best seller genre. Please read the "Pages" section before joining this group.
The Midtown Booze & Book Club is the book club "for the rest of us". We aim to be a diverse group of readers who gather together for libations and lively discussion. We want to read books which are clever and sometimes funny. Everything from Bukowski to Burroughs (William AND Augusten), from Roach to Reichl, from Nin to well, Miller. Exploring new and old, off the beaten path books, not always your "award winning" reads. We meet on the second Tuesday of each month (and sometimes more, if we feel …
