Dear readers, I would love to put together a group of women who would like to meet once a month in one of our homes to talk about books and life. This group will share book recommends, swap books and read/discuss a book every 1 - 2 months. We'll keep it smaller - to about 10 women so that we can really get to know each other and also chat/talk about life when we meet -- maybe over a glass of wine! During our first meetup we discovered that growing up we all used to take a flashlight to bed with …

Our meetings of 10-12 readers will be held near New Brighton/St. Anthony/Roseville. Let's forge meaningful literary and social connections!

… Although prior knowledge of psychoanalysis is not required, we do encourage members to be engaged, close readers, as the texts can often be dense. Thus far we have discussed Bion, Klein, Winnicott, Judith Butler, object-relations, attachment theory, self psychology, feminist psychoanalysis, the effectiveness of psychoanalytic psychotherapy, infant observation, and the relationship between Freud and Jung.
