Our mission is to support one another and fellows hip with others who share a common entity; reading.  We don't have a particular genre that we stick to because we want to expose ourselves to as much as we possibly can and we feel that the more variety we have, the more we learn.  We do, however, read book written primarily by and about African American's and others of African decent but are open to reading  almost anything. Our BC is primarily women but it is also open to men.

This group is for anyone interested in reading on subjects related to health/healing and spiritual matters. Our monthly meetings provide an excellent opportunity for members to recommend good books to one another, and discuss books they have read. It will also serve as a book exchange whereby members can share with others their book collection, borrow and circulate books among themselves. This is a bookclub designed for African-American women between the ages of 25-50 who love to read good books, socialize and eat!

If you enjoy Christian authors or reading books of inspiration, hope and religious relevance, then this book club is for you. In the true spirit of Christ, we welcome a diverse group of Christ-minded people of all cultures and ethnic affiliations. Both Fiction and Non-fiction books can be a part of our reading list. I started this group to gauge interest in a women's book club for the Lexington area.  The club would follow a typical book club format.  The group would agree on a book to read each month (majority rules) and then meet at a local restaurant to discuss the book and socialize.  No dues yet, so please join if you are interested!

This is more of a reader's club than a book club. Instead of reading the same book and discussing it, members talk about books they have read. You can also bring books to trade or lend. We hope to also have trips to hear favorite authors and attend events. Given that gore, romance, erotica, and adult topics may be discussed, we don't recommend bringing children.

If you want a "no guilt" book club where you don't have to attend every meeting and we don't make you feel guilty when you miss, this club might be right for you.
